📚 I’ve been reading many books this year, and one of my favorite genres has been 'regency romance'. You know, Pride and Prejudice style. It’s so fun for me to be transported to that era and I especially love the stories that are set in Scotland. The way that it’s described is so dreamy and beautiful.
One of my favorite books I’ve read this year was Miss Newbury’s List. So I’ll talk a tiny bit about it in case you are interested in sweet stories like this. 😊
ℹ️ What it’s about:
A woman is about to have an arranged marriage, but she has a list of 10 things she wants to do before that. Some of them are a bit silly, others more adventurous, and others deep and meaningful. With the help of her best friend and her best friend’s cousin, she tries to cross off the list, all while getting closer to someone unexpectedly…
❤️ I love it because:
It was very fun to read and it wasn't just a sweet romantic story; it had adventure and even some action: I laughed and cried. 😆
💬 One quote:
"The point is not asking why,” Aunt Alice had said. “Ask what. What inspires you? What calls to you? What, when you look ahead, will you regret not doing? Those are the things to put on your list. Those are the things that will make you feel whole."
📖 Would I read it again?:
Yes! I definitely will.
