✂️ Materials:
- yarn weight: 4
- yarn colors: brown, beige, pink, red
- hook size: G (or whatever fits your yarn best)
- buttons: black, 10mm
- felt: red- stuffing: polyfil
- scissors- stitch markers
- glue
🧶 Stitches and abbreviations:
- magic ring / adjustable circle
- sc: single crochet
- inc: increase: make 2 sc in the same spot (1 stitch becomes 2)
- dec: decrease: start making 2 sc in different spots but then close them together (2 stitches become 1)
- hdc: half double crochet
- dc: double crochet
- hdc-inc: make 2 half double crochet in the same spot
- dc-inc with chain 1: make one dc, chain 1, then another dc in the same spot
💛 HEAD
- Start with brown yarn.
Round 1: Sc 7 into a magic ring. (Total stitches: 7)
Round 2: Increase in each stitch. (Total stitches: 14)
Round 3: (Sc 1, inc) Repeat until the end of the round. (Total stitches: 21)
Round 4: (Sc 2, inc) Repeat until the end of the round. (Total stitches: 28)
Round 5: (Sc 3, inc) Repeat until the end of the round. (Total stitches: 35)
- Change to beige yarn.
Round 6-13: Sc in each stitch. (Total stitches: 35)
Round 14: (Sc 3, dec) Repeat until the end of the round. (Total stitches: 28)
Round 15: (Sc 2, dec) Repeat until the end of the round. (Total stitches: 21)
Round 16: (Sc 5, dec) Repeat until the end of the round. (Total stitches: 18)
- Stuff with polyfil.
Round 17: (Sc 1, dec) Repeat until the end of the round. (Total stitches: 12)
- Finish with a slip stitch and fasten off.
💛 BODY
- Start with red yarn.
Round 1: Sc 7 into a magic ring. (Total stitches: 7)
Round 2: Increase in each stitch. (Total stitches: 14)
Round 3: (Sc 1, inc) Repeat until the end of the round. (Total stitches: 21)
Round 4: (Sc 6, inc) Repeat until the end of the round. (Total stitches: 24)
Round 5: Sc in each stitch. (Total stitches: 24)
Round 6: (Sc 6, dec) Repeat until the end of the round. (Total stitches: 21)
Round 7: (Sc 5, dec) Repeat until the end of the round. (Total stitches: 18)
Round 8: Sc in each stitch. (Total stitches: 18)
- Alternate pink and red yarn.
Round 9: [Pink: sc 6] [Red: dec, sc 1] [Pink: inc] [Red: sc 1, dec] [Pink: sc 5] (Total stitches: 17)
- Continue with pink yarn.
Round 10: Sc1, dec, sc 2, dec, sc 1, dec, sc 2, dec, sc 1, dec. (Total stitches: 12)
- Finish with a slip stitch, cut the yarn leaving a long piece for sewing, and fasten off.
- Stuff with polyfil and sew to the head.
💛 LEGS
- Start with red yarn.
Round 1: Sc 6 into a magic ring. (Total stitches: 6)
Round 2: Increase in each stitch. (Total stitches: 12)
Round 3-5: Sc in each stitch. (Total stitches: 12)
- Alternate pink and red yarn.
Round 6: [Pink: sc 4, inc] [Red: dec] [Pink: inc, sc 4] (Total stitches: 13)
- Continue with pink yarn.
Round 7: Sc 1, dec, sc 3, dec, sc 2, dec, sc 1. (Total stitches: 10)
Round 8: Sc 3, dec, sc 3, dec. (Total stitches: 8)
Round 9-10: Sc in each stitch. (Total stitches: 8)
- Finish with a slip stitch, cut the yarn leaving a long piece for sewing, and fasten off. Make 2.
- Stuff with polyfil and sew to the body.
💛 ARMS
- Start with red yarn.
Round 1: Sc 6 into a magic ring. (Total stitches: 6)
Round 2: (Sc 1, inc) Repeat until the end of the round. (Total stitches: 9)
Round 3-5: Sc in each stitch. (Total stitches: 9)
- Continue with pink yarn.Round 6: Sc 7, dec. (Total stitches: 8)
Round 7: Sc in each stitch. (Total stitches: 8)
Round 8: Sc 6, dec. (Total stitches: 7)
Round 9-10: Sc in each stitch. (Total stitches: 7)
- Finish with a slip stitch, cut the yarn leaving a long piece for sewing, and fasten off. Make 2.
- Stuff with polyfil and sew to the body.
💛 HEADPIECE
- Start with red yarn.
Row 1: Chain 30.
- Skip the first chain from the hook, and work from the second one onwards.
Row 2: Sc 7, inc 3, sc 3, [dec skipping one stitch in the center], sc 3, inc 3, sc 7. (Total stitches: 33)
- Chain 1, and turn your work around.
Row 3: Sc 9, hdc-inc, [dc-inc making a chain 1 in between], hdc-inc, sc 3, [dec skipping a stitch in the center], sc 3, hdc-inc, [dc-inc making a chain 1 in between], hdc-inc, sc 9. (Total stitches: 39 )
- Cut the yarn leaving a long piece for sewing, and fasten off.
💛 HAIR
- Start with brown yarn.
Round 1: Sc 7 into a magic ring. (Total stitches: 7)
Round 2: Inc in each stitch. (Total stitches: 14)
Round 3: Sc 1, inc (Repeat until the end of the round) (Total stitches: 21)
Strand 1: Chain 20, turn to work on top of the chain, skip 1, slip stitch 1, sc 1, hdc 16, slip stitch on the next stitch of the circle.
Strands 2-11: Chain 21, turn to work on top of the chain, skip 1, slip stitch 1, sc 1, hdc 17, slip stitch on the next stitch of the circle.
Strand 12: Chain 20, turn to work on top of the chain, skip 1, slip stitch 1, sc 1, hdc 16, slip stitch on the next stitch of the circle.
Fringe (continue working on the circle): Slip stitch 2, chain 6, sc 5, slip stitch 4, chain 6, sc 5, slip stitch 2.
- Cut the yarn and fasten off.
- Sew or glue onto the head.
- Sew the headpiece around the face as well.
💛 OTHER DETAILS
- Attach the eyes, pulling tight to shape the face.
- Cut a piece of red felt for the cape, make it wider on the top so that you can glue it together around the neck.
- Optional: Add a touch of pink color to her cheeks using eyeshadow or blush and a fluffy brush.
