Poem: Foreign Peace

🖋️ Foreign Peace
- by Rose.

There's a place I know but haven't met,
and a life I love but haven’t lived.
I have daily dreams of far away lands,
and of voices that I long to hear speak.

There's a joy that hides among mountains
that I have yet to discover and climb.
It calls for my name and I answer,
and it lifts my crestfallen heart.

There's a constant hope of forgetting time,
and spending instead the wind and the sky.
To breathe in a foreign peace unknown,
and live under bright northern lights.

There's a home I know but haven't found,
where the fields tell stories I haven't heard,
where it's easy to sleep unworried,
and then wake with the songs of birds.
